MODELING CONVECTION IN A SUBDUCTION ZONE

The mathematical modeling results of the lithosphere plate convection in a subduction zone are given. The lithosphere plate collides with a continental plate to immerse into the mantle. As a result of the numerical solution of the task the fields of temperature, velocity, stream function, intensity of vortex, and Nusselt numbers at the upper and lower border of the prediction area have been derived.
