Theory of motivation in the educational process

At present there exists quite a large quantity of motivation theories explaining behaviour and activity of the person, his professional choice included. It is possible to single out two types of motivation: external and internal. The essence of external models in the educational process consists in a regular reinforcement of desirable result (rating system). The internal motivation describes a type of behaviour determination, when the factors, initiating it, proceed from within personal "I" and are completelyfrom the inside of behaviour. The given type of motivation is based on self-reflecting.
