Analysis of Mechanical System Reliability at Design Stages
Expert (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and Fault Tree analysis), analytical and numerical methods of reliability analysis at various stages of the product’s life cycle including design, full-scale tests of pre-production models, and Field Data Analysis, have been well developed. It is known that there is a lack in sys-tems for the analysis of reliability at early stages of the design. However, accord-ing to domestic and foreign researches, 80 % of all failures are caused by defects made at early design stages. This paper, on the basis of K250-61-5 and CНВ 800/1.6 compressors as an example produced by JSC "Dalenergomash", describes a method for reliability estimation at the stage of conceptual design.
