VARIATION OF THE EFFECTIVE HEIGHT OF IONOSPHERE DURING 31 JULY 1981 SOLAR ECLIPSE

During solar eclipse in lower ionosphere, which can be studied by the propagation of VLF radio waves, a rapid change of solar irradiation occurs. Variations in lower layers of ionosphere are clearly defined in phase recording of VLF waves that propagate along paths crossing the eclipse region. The paper deals with the relation between the effective ionosphere height and solar eclipse phase.
